AS well as all the usual ingredients for a Bond smash-hit — the shoot-outs, the dramatic stunts, the global locations — No Time To Die is a love story too, with the return of the mysterious Madeleine, played by Lea Seydoux.

Another familiar face returns with Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, acting as the ‘moral compass’ in the movie and speaking up for what she believes in.

New to the scene and bringing some laughs to the female line-up, Cuban CIA agent Paloma, played by Ana de Armas, is fearless and funny, bonding with Bond through her quirky sense of humour.

New ‘00’ Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch, arrives for No Time To Die, going toe-to-toe with Bond. She’s up to speed with the latest gadgets and has grown close to ‘M’ while Bond’s been out of the game.

In the film’s trailer she warns him: “Stay in your lane. You get in my way, I will put a bullet in your knee... the one that works.”

NO TIME To Die picks up not far from where 2015’s Spectre finished. By the end of the last movie, Bond had learned the identity of crime boss Ernst Blofeld, played by Christoph Waltz, who had harboured a hatred for him since his father developed a relationship with the secret agent when he was a child.

After offing his own dad in an avalanche, Blofeld reinvented himself as the head of terrorist organisation, Spectre. After Bond opted not to kill him at the end of the 2015 film, Blofeld was arrested and the spy headed off into the sunset with Dr

Madeleine Swann, played by French star Lea Seydoux.

And it’s here the new movie begins, according to actor Lea. Together in the rugged hilltops of Matera, Italy, Bond and Madeleine have started a new life, with the spy’s days in MI6 in the past. But with Madeleine guarding secrets of her own, and

Five years later we find Bond in Jamaica, retired, drinking and alone. When old CIA contact Felix Leiter reaches out for help, Bond finds himself in demand once again.

Blofeld is back and new villain Safin (Rami Malek) is making waves. Bond reunites with ‘M’, played by Ralph

Fiennes, as well as others from his old network. With new systems in place at MI6, Bond struggles to adjust - but the world needs him.
