HORROR AFTER JESY’S SUICIDE BID
JESY Nelson has revealed her mum begged her to quit Little Mix after a sucide bid.
The singer left the girlband last December, blaming online trolls for impacting her mental health — and she says her mother made her see sense after she was concerned by her health and workload who made her see sense.
Jesy shared: “I’d taken an overdose. I went into the hospital then I had a music video like a week after.
“Obviously my mum found out and was distraught. She was outright, ‘This is it, you’re not doing this anymore’.
“My mum’s the kind of mum that’s like, ‘Jes, we couldn’t give a s**t what you do as long as you’re happy’. She was like, ‘I’m like not putting my foot down, you’re coming out of this’.”
Pressure
Jesy felt pressure about her looks with bandmates LeighAnne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall. However, now a solo artist with her debut single Boyz out tomorrow, she’s healthier.
She told Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast: “I see little things now when I do a music video. I’m not looking on the camera and thinking, ‘Oh my God, I don’t look as skinny as Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie’. And that’s what I did every single day.” ce
