RACHAEL’S IN SADDLE FOR EQUINE CHARITY

TRAILBLAZING jockey Rachael Blackmore has taken on a new ambassador role with a leading equestrian charity.

Rachael will work with Festina Lente, which supports people from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds and with learning disabilities through working with and interacting with horses.

The Tipperary woman said: “I’ve seen first-hand some of the great work that Festina Lente are doing and the difference that can make to somebody’s life.

“I’m delighted to take on this ambassadorial role and look forward to supporting the charity’s future initiatives.

“All the staff at the centre are incredibly kind and having spent most of my life in and around stables, I know the positive impact working with horses can have on people from all different backgrounds.”

CEO Dr Jill Carey added: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Rachael on board.

“We believe in creating a safe space that nurtures and recognises the unique talents of each individual, empowering them to be the best they can be.
