3.5M baths hike

THE opening of the iconic Dún Laoghaire Baths is now set to be next spring as costs have soared by € 3.5 million.

The project had been due for completion early last year, but was hit by delays which saw costs rise from € 10m to € 13.5m.

“This includes refurbishment of the existing Baths Pavilion, constructing a new jetty to give easy access to the water for swimming and the creation of a new route between the East Pier and Newtownsmith,” the council said.
