My wife keeps sneaking out late at night

-

SIOBHAN SAYS: Put this behind you and start again. Look at how much you’re drinking, and if this is a problem then check out drinkaware.ie.

Do you need to speak to a younger friend or relative about what you say and how you speak?

Do you need to re- educate yourself or consider volunteering with people from different backgrounds? It’s never too late to learn.

MY PARTNER will no longer have sex with me — and I have to wonder who she is sleeping with instead.

She’s gone from being a woman who required sex twice a day to someone who comes and goes at all kinds of odd hours and won’t explain where she’s been.

When I question her, she accuses me of being suspicious and ridiculous.

She sniffs that she’s been working late or seeing friends.

Valid

SIOBHAN SAYS: People can stop in the months leading up to the pandemic. Now the thought of going back and listening to the HR director moaning about her cheating husband and the head of accounts burping and passing wind makes me feel like jacking it all in.

Drunkenness, office affairs and bonks in the boardroom are all perfectly normal.

But surely mine is a valid question when the whole nature of our relationship has changed?

Rubbish

My wife says I can’t afford to leave and that I have to stay put because her job is so precarious.

But how can I possibly function and grow as an individual when I’m surrounded by a bunch of uncivilised cretins?

Some desks are covered in rubbish, having sex if they’re depressed, ill, using drugs or have simply lost their drive.

So jumping immediately to infidelity is rather showing of how secure you feel in the relationship.

If you’re convinced your wife is physically and mentally fine, then she has to tell you what is going on.

Why is your wife avoiding you?

You understand that she has her work and that her friends are important to her, but what about the time inbetween?

Honesty

Tell her that you’ll fight for this marriage and that sex is important to you too.

Tell her you can get through anything together as long as you’re open and honest.

The conversation needs to start here.

But you also need to be prepared to listen to her response and take in what she is saying about what issues are affecting her and what she wants to do to address them.

Work together as a team.
