IT’S ALL GONE RON(

- ■ ■Darren LEWIS

OLE Gunnar Solskjaer has been warned he is a dead man walking at Manchester United with the club already over- reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ex- Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann has ripped apart Solskjaer and his leadership, and said: “It is only a matter of time — when, not if — they sack him because he has been there for too long and you don’t see any progress.”

It comes after Alex Ferguson was filmed this week suggesting the Norwegian was wrong not to start Ronaldo against Everton last Saturday.

Pitch

The superstar, who came on as a substitute, left the Old Trafford pitch visibly unhappy with the 1-1 draw.

In a hard- hit t ing interview with Sky Germany, Hamann said: “I don’t even want to know where they would be without Ronaldo and his goals.

“It is all patchwork. Old Trafford — that used to be the Theatre of Dreams. Rightnow, itismorelike nightmares than dreams.”

Former Germany international Hamann also claimed:

United’s performances this sea son have been “pathetic”.

Solskjaer is not getting the best out of Jadon Sancho.

It is only a matter of time before club chiefs sack the United boss.

Ronaldo (36) has scored five goals in his five Red Devils appearances since signing from Juventus.

But the rest of the team have been unimpressive and have now conceded in each of their last nine games, the club’s worst run since 1971.

“I believe the pressure on the manager will grow a lot,’ said Hamann.

“Their performances are pathetic at the moment. They just don’t play good football. Sancho is way behind expectations, which I don’t understand.

“With Raphael Varane, they got a player that has a lot of experience, and with Ronaldo, they got o ne who knows t he Premier

League.

“I thought it would not take that long to integrate them into the team.’

Watch

“They still play the same football that is not good to watch. That is not Manchester United. There will be a change of manager soon.

“Whether the new manager will be able to utilise their potential, we will have to see. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not capable of that right now.”

Solskjaer faces a run of games af t er the international break set to give a clearer picture as to whether his men can challenge for the title.

There are home games against Liverpool and Manchester City plus trips to Leice s t e r and Tottenham.
