NAP OF THE DAY

IT’S not a bad card at Dundalk this evening and in the

1m2f BetVictor Loyalty Club Handicap the Donnacha O’Brientrained ZOZIMUS

(5.45) is a very interesting contender.

He won a maiden here last year and has to be really fancied following his 100/1 fourth in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket last month.

He runs here off the same mark and looks to be a progressive handicapper. Drawn six of 16 is not a bad result either. He should be involved.

EACH-WAY THIEF

MUSIC TO MY EARS (7.45) won a maiden here two years ago for Joseph O’Brien and JP McManus and has more than held her own in deep handicap company over the last few seasons. She dips her toe into calmer waters than she’s been in recently here tonight from a career low rating and might just be one to run well.

She’s had a nice break since running at the Curragh in August and looks set for a profitable campaign here over the winter.

ONE TO WATCH

COLIN KEANE broke the record for the most amount of winners in one season at the Curragh last Sunday and he’ll have his foot to the floor in a bid reach 150 by the end of the year. He rides TEN TEN TWENTY (5.15) for John Murphy in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Handicap and he looks to have a life. He’s been good this year on the grass and it will be interesting to see if he can handle the allweather surface at Dundalk. If he does then he has a big shout.

ONE TO SWERVE

BRIGHT IDEA (4.45) might be worth opposing in the opening Claiming race. His form is strong but he has to concede weight to a few decent and experienced handicappers here.

Joseph O’Brien’s horses are in great form but this Coolmore- owned gelding could be very short to be backing in the opener.
