Fest of trad is back in action
AUDIENCES and performers can once again enjoy the thrill of live music after almost two years as TradFest Temple Bar kickstarts the return of trad and folk concerts this January.
Actor Stephen Rea will host a night of poetry and music, while there will be performances by acts including Fairport Convention, Kate Rusby Peggy Seeger, Dervish & Altan & Four Men and a Dog.
It comes as over the past 18 months trad and folk festivals around the world from the Fleadh Ceoil to Cork Folk Festival have been cancelled or moved performances online.
Now, TradFest Temple Bar looks set to be one the first of the major trad/folk festivals around the world to welcome audiences back in person once again to Dublin City Centre using hospital grade air disinfection systems and Covid certificates.

TradFest Temple Bar is back doing what it does best: showcasing some of Ireland’s top performers, introducing audiences to new faces making their mark on the music scene and connecting artists and audiences again.
The festival is also expanding, embracing different spaces across Dublin, bringing the city together for a range of concerts in Collins Barracks, Dublin Castle, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Pepper Canister Church, Lost Lane and The Button Factory.
Tickets are on sale now for festival performances from January 26 to 30.
