MAX IS A REAL STAR

SPOILS: Adrian Fulton

THE Men’s InsureMyVan.ie Super League provided great action over the weekend, especially the clash of champions Belfast Star and Killester in Clontarf.

Adrian Fulton’s side took the spoils with five seconds left with a three- pointer from Max Cooper after the home side led by nine.

“It was a gutsy performance rather than a high quality one from us” said Fulton after the 73-72 win.

“It feels like a bit of a steal but we are delighted.”

His opposite number Brian O’Malley was bitterly disappointed.

“To throw away a nine- point lead again in the fourth quarter is unforgiveable,” said opposite number

Brian O’Malley, “but you have to say Cooper’s winning basket was amazing.”
