Broja said: “I’d like to dedicate my goal to my family — my mum, dad, my two sisters, they’ve been by my side throughout my whole career, supporting me, coming to all my games, watching everything.

“But I’d like to dedicate it to Nathan too. He said to me before the game, ‘I’ll make sure the goal comes for you’.

“He was amazing as well and it was a great run from him and a great pass from him. All I had to do really was just score, so credit to Nathan as well.

“The partnership felt great. He’s been playing for a while, he just coaches you throughout the game, I know exactly what I’m doing with him about.”

On Redmond, Hasenhuttl said: “I am always very critical with him, I know how good he can be. I am not always with what I see from him.

“I always want more from him because he is good. This is pressure on him but finally I think he needs this.”

The Austrian has got his men working for him, summed up by the high intensity shown on Saturday, even though Leeds were poor.

Broja said: “We’ve been training very hard this past week. The game plan that we had in training, we displayed it on the pitch.

“The pressing, the defending, the midfield, we were very, very, very good. Hopefully we can continue like this.

“We’re just going to work hard throughout next week. We’re going to carry on, we’re going to have a gameplan for the game against Burnley and we will try and execute it like we did this week.

“Hopefully this is the kickstart to our season, racking up the wins.”
