Bhoy keen to collect Rovers medal

LIAM SCALES plans to get his hands on his League of Ireland title-winning medal at some stage.

The former Shamrock Rovers defender played a key role in the Hoops’ bid for back-toback Premier Division crowns before moving in late-August to Celtic.

He watched from his new home in Glasgow last Friday night as his former teammates clinched top spot with a 2- 0 win against Finn Harps.

“Obviously I’ve a busy schedule here so I haven’t had time to think about when I’d be able to get home to get my medal,” he said.

“I have family at home so they will probably get it for me.

“I still keep in touch with a lot of lads. I do hope to see them whenever we get the chance.

“I had a good time there and I got close to a lot of lads.

“They are all interested in how I’m getting on over here.”
