IVAN IN SQUAD

COLIN O’BRIEN has called up Hungarianbased defender Ivan Savshak for this week’s friendly double-header against Belgium in Marbella.

Savshak qualifies for the Boys in Green thanks to his Dundalk-born mother.

Milan-based duo Kevin Zefi (Inter) and Cathal Heffernan (AC) have been omitted as the games fall outside of an international window.

Games

They will serve, however, as preparation for next month’s European Under-17 Championship qualifiers against group hosts Portugal, Finland and Bulgaria. The Belgium games will take place tomorrow and on Saturday.
