PERVERT Kieran Creaven is the most high-profile Irishman to be taken down by a so-called paedophile hunter group.
And despite the former RTE producer being jailed in the UK and later in Ireland, many others fell into the same trap.
Creaven was confronted by the Predator Exposure group in the UK after more than four months of online messaging with a decoy character.
The group ran this decoy profile as a 13-year-old girl, who received a series of vile messages from the then married man from the previous July.
Creaven travelled to Leeds on November 18, 2017 expecting to meet the teenager but was cornered by the vigilante group.
He was grilled by the group, who broadcasted this on
Facebook Live.
They stayed with him until police came and took him away, while
Predator Exposure passed on the messages to the investigators.
The former RTE employee was sentenced to 18 months in a UK prison but served just 10 months.
But the gardai carried out their own probe and successfully prosecuted Creaven who was caged for 10 years last year for sexually abusing and exploiting young children in Ireland, the UK and the Philippines.
Earlier this year, the same Predator Exposure group caught Dubliner David McGregor (49) in a similar sting.
He too travelled to Leeds to meet a decoy which he believed was a 13-year-old child.
He was subsequently jailed in the UK for three years and three months.
And this week, Louth native Declan Power (58) was caged for over two years after he flew to Britain with the intention of abducting and having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
