TODAY marks the fifth anniversary of the deadliest mass shooting in US history — when gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire from his Las Vegas hotel room, killing 60 people.

Paddock (64) unleashed a barrage of more than 1,000 bulllets on the crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada.

He cut down 60 people and left more than 400 wounded as he fired indiscriminately from his 32nd-floor suite in the Mandalay Bay hotel.

About an hour later, Paddock was found dead in his room from a selfinflicted gunshot wound.
