Nashwa for Royal crown?
NASHWA (3.25) looks a sporting punt to cause a minor surprise in the Royal Bahrain Irish Champion Stakes today.
The filly is enjoying a decent campaign with a Group One success in the Famlmouth Stakes followed by excellent runs in the Nassau Stakes and the Juddmonte International.
On the latter occasion she was a close third to Mostahdaf and Paddington – probably a career best.
Tackles
Today she tackles King Of Steel and Auguste Rodin and there remains a question mark about how strong the Derby form is.
Both colts are coming down in trip while Nashwa has her optimum distance.
Her price of around 6-1 looks fairly generous and better value than the big two.
