his strengths, his physicality. There are many things he can still improve on.”

The chances have been missed but adds Glasner there have been no problems creating them with January €21m capture from Blackburn, Adam Wharton, relishing life in the Palace midfield.

He said: “Wharton has such quality with his forward passing. Look at the ball he put through for Eze just before half time against Forest. He has that ability.

Situations

“In some situations he has to get used to the speed, the pace of the Premier League. But he has been fantastic considering it’s the first time he has played in this league. He is only 20 and played at the weekend for 90 minutes. He has also gone and played for the England Under-21s. There are a lot of things to learn, not just on the pitch but in his head as well.

“He deals with things like a great player. He does things very well and we will continue to support him.”

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola insists facing Palace will be a tougher test thanks to their new way of playing under Glasner.

Palace have picked up a win and two draws under Glasner since he replaced Roy Hodgson last month and head to the Cherries tonight with an eight-point buffer to the relegation zone.

Iraola has warned his in-form team to expect a very different challenge to the one they faced against Hodgson’s Palace in December.

The Spaniard, whose side won that match at Selhurst Park 2-0, said: “Tactically they are completely different.

“Glasner plays very well with the system he has, it’s difficult to defend, players play in between positions and I think they are adapting really well.

“It will be difficult as always but we are in a good run and we need to keep pushing.”
