Bunker bluster at slaughter in Gaza
AMBASSADOR SHOULD GET BOOT
DOWN TO EARTH: Littler with trophy in Belfast
IT’S a sign of the absolute arrogance of the Israeli terror state that its embassy here can warn our Government about breaking any trade deals with them.
If Simon Harris had any balls, the first thing he should do as Taoiseach is boot Israel’s ambassador out of here and end all trade links.
We all know he won’t, though, as Fine Gael were even too spineless to back an Occupied Territories Bill that would have ended any trade with illegal Israeli settlements in Palestine.
Rage
Harris has previously spoken about how Israel has been “blinded by rage, waging a war on children”.
If he really believes that, then it makes it all the more puzzling why the Government he has been a senior minister in hasn’t done a tap to tackle Israeli representatives here.
The likes of Harris are all just bull and bluster, with Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, already calling them out.
Speaking about the Irish Government’s feeble efforts to tackle Israel so far, she said: “The countries that have been most outspoken, like Ireland, what have they done practice? Nothing.”
And while they have been busy doing nothing, Israeli forces were busy for the past two weeks torturing and executing children and medical staff at Gaza’s AlShifa hospital.
The depths of Israeli depravity knows no bounds, with in
Benjamin Netanyahu — as this column predicted — now seeking to broaden this into a global conflict.
It’s hardly a coincidence that, just as Netanyahu was coming under pressure from the families of those held hostage by Hamas to end the slaughter in Gaza, Israel suddenly decided to strike an Iranian consulate building in Damascus. Netanyahu is hellbent on causing as much violence and misery as he can. He has the perfect enabler in war hawk Joe Biden. The pair will now be rubbing their hands with glee at the prospect of a full-scale conflict across the Middle East.
