FIGHTER Conor McGregor has been drug tested five times by the UFC’s anti-doping program in 2024, almost twice as many as the vast majority of UFC fighters.

The Irishman has been tested on five occasions by the UFC’s new antidoping program run by Drug Free Sport International since the turn of the year after the organisation’s deal with the US Anti Doping Agency (USADA) ended.

Despite not having a fight scheduled, the Road House star has been tested almost twice as much as the next most tested athlete, with former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland among the small few that have been tested on three occasions.

Themba Gorimbo, Mayra Silva and Strickland are the trio who have been tested three times, with McGregor the only athlete tested more than this with two of his tests taking place since February 15.

McGregor was tested over 70 times during the USADA era. He left the testing pool after suffering a horrendous broken leg injury against Dustin Poirier in 2021, returning to the testing pool in 2023.

The Notorious hasn’t fought since that defeat.

MORE than 3,300 artworks are going on sale for a charity but buyers will not know who the artist is until the purchase is complete.

The “Incognito” sale is in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation, which provides support for children with neurodevelopmental delay.

One family that relies on its assistance said its work is “amazing” and in-home support provides them with invaluable time for other things.

Described by organisers as Ireland’s biggest online art sale, each piece is priced at €65, no matter the artist, with funds directed to in-home nursing care and respite support services for more than 400 children.

These may include youngsters with a brain injury, a genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy and undiagnosed conditions.

Another key part of the service is endof-life care for all kids up to the age of six, irrespective of diagnosis.

There are more than 1,200 contributors taking part from Ireland and around the world including celebrated artists and other famous names.
