‘A fall off my horse meant docs found rare cancer’
DUE IN ZIMBABWE COURT OVER SLAIN WOMEN
A YOUNG woman was diagnosed with a rare cancer after an abdominal procedure — like Kate Middleton.
Libby Dodes (23) was struggling with abdominal pain and a swollen tummy and believed her endometriosis had spread.
But when the keen jockey fell from her horse she had a CT scan and doctors identified a 23cm tumour on her abdomen.
Following a biopsy she was diagnosed with small cell ovarian cancer — a rare and aggressive cancer.
Chemo
Libby has undergone four rounds of chemotherapy, followed by a debulking surgery.
That involved removal of the tumour, lymph nodes from the pelvic area, a hysterectomy, and the removal of part of her peritoneum and appendix.
She now needs a high dose of chemotherapy to continue to treat the cancer.
Libby, a student, from Derby, said: “When I found out it was cancer it was really hard.
“It doesn’t feel real. “I think my horse knew and she saved my life.”
Kate announced her own cancer battle in March — after doctors discovered it following an abdominal surgery.
THIS African businessman is set to go on trial in his homeland for a triple murder — after he was kicked out of Ireland.
Zimbabwe national Peter Dube, who was the subject of an Interpol manhunt, was arrested by cops after he landed at Robert Mugabe International Airport in capital Harare on Wednesday afternoon.
He flew in from neighbouring Mozambique — after he had been deported there from Dublin this year.
False
He was arrested in Dublin in June 2023 after he was found to be living in a facility for international protection applicants under a false passport.
The 38-year-old was charged with an offence here, before being convicted and deported to Mozambique — the false passport he entered Ireland with.
Mozambique authorities then moved against him for having a false passport and sent him back to Zimbabwe, where cops were waiting to arrest him in connection with a gruesome triple murder in 2021.
Car dealer Dube has been sought since his second wife Nyasha Nharingo and her suspected lover Shelton Chinhango were shot dead in the city of Gweru in April 2021.
Nyasha’s friend Gamuchirai Mudungwe was also shot dead.
Nyasaha’s sister Nyaradzo was also shot in the ambush — but survived.
Dube was in custody last night in Zimbabwe and was set to go on trial.
A Zimbabwe police spokesman said: “Firstly, we would like to thank Zimbabweans
for their patience as we were conducting investigations, and I want to make it clear that Peter Dube has not been extradited.
“He has been deported from the Republic of Mozambique due to fake identity and travel documents, anything else in terms of the investigations and the court appearance will be advised in due course.”
Zimbabwe cops believed Dube had

“New leads show that he jumped the border and started living in Eswatini under the alias Xolile Mtsali.
“He then relocated to Ireland, where he sought asylum.”
The complaint against Najib Mikati was formally filed to prosecutors on Tuesday.
French anti-corruption group Sherpa said it highlighted the conditions under which Mr Mikati “has accumulated assets in France”.
Mr Mikati (68) said he and his family have always acted in accordance with the law, according to a statement.
