Carter-Vickers has been frustrated after a stop-start season, having gone under the knife at the end of last season after the Scottish Cup semi-final win over Rangers at Hampden Park.

“This season for me, I have had a lot of injuries so it’s been hard to focus on improving when the focus has been on getting fit and playing. For the squad as a whole, the aim is to be at this point of the season playing our best.

“The season overall has been frustrating as I want to play as much as I can to help the team.

Not being able to to do that has been frustrating.”
