Fans thank Abba for the music
ABBA and their fans celebrated the 50th anniversary of their Eurovision success in style at the weekend.
Bjorn Ulvaeus made a guest appearance in London’s West
End and said he feels “humbled” by their continued popularity.

Saturday was 50 years to the day since ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their mega-hit Waterloo.
While Bjorn was at Mamma Mia’s 25th anniversary, over in East London the digital version of the band, Abba Voyage, was celebrated in a live show.
The Swedish band featured Bjorn,
Benny Andersson, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
U2 fanatics can get their hands on a rare and large collection of the Irish band’s hit songs and memorabilia as it goes under the hammer.
The 30 lots form part of the South Dublin Auction taking place online today.
Lot 902 is a rare 20GB U2
Special Edition iPod, complete in its original box.
The 2OGB 4th Generational U2 Special Edition Black and Red is estimated to be worth between €400 and
€800.
An auction spokesperson explained: “(It’s) in super condition. The iPod has been lightly used with songs loaded.”
Also of interest to collectors is lot 903 which is a rare sealed U2 ‘The October Tour’ Japan Edition on Ica Gold swirl vinyl.
“This vinyl includes performances from U2’s second album performed from The Ritz, New York 1982. (It’s) in super condition,” the spokesperson added.
The other memorabilia includes books about U2, T-shirts, and CDs. The U2 items form part of 1,071 lots with the online auction due to end at 3pm. Meanwhile, U2 shared a digital re-release of ‘Discothèque’ as part of a new series of “deep dives”, as well as a new selection of b-sides and mixes.
The re-release of the classic U2 track comes 27 years after it was first released by the iconic Irish band.
