AID WORKER ATTACKS ARE NOTHING NEW

LEGACY OF FAILURE CONTINUES

-

THE revulsion at Israel’s coldblooded killing of seven aid workers in Gaza last week has been widespread.

Yet it’s not as if this is anything new, as these supremacist thugs have been killing aid workers for decades.

Some they have mown down with bulldozers, others shot point-blank in the head, while UN compounds have been regularly bombed and targeted.

Nothing and nobody is off-limits when it comes to the IDF killing machine.

They do it because they believe they are superior to everyone else.

When have we seen that behaviour before?

ISN’T it nice of Leo Varadkar to have “no regrets” over his time as Taoiseach as he oversaw the worst homeless crisis in this country’s history?

It’s even nicer again for him to have “always known” that another gormless failure in Simon Harris would one day be Taoiseach.

It’s absolutely soul-destroying that these soulless, substanceless ghouls are the best we have to suffer with as our leaders.

The likes of Harris can fail as often as they like and still manage to land the big gigs.

Kerry’s Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae was proposed as an alternative, and while he’s certainly not everyone’s cup of tea at least he tops the poll in most elections.

Bluster

Unlike Harris, who only squeezed in on the 15th count in Wicklow in 2020, as Fine Gael, along with Fianna Fail, bent over backwards to get themselves into a government that very few actually wanted.

And now we have to put up with a year of Harris’s cringeworthy bluster, while our health and housing sectors will remain a shambles.

There’s isn’t a scintilla of evidence to show that Harris has the backbone or conviction to turn these around.

He was an absolute disaster as a Minister for Health, failing to get to grips with or make anybody accountable for the shocking CervicalCheck scandal that failed the women of

Ireland.

Farcical

He was equally as bad in his handling of the delays and rising costs of the new Children’s Hospital, which is still a noose around our neck, and even had to narrowly survive a motion of noconfidence in him in the Dail in 2019.

It’s farcical that we are having this goon foisted on us, with his nonsense about how we “ain’t seen nothing yet”. That alone shows the lack of selfawareness that should preclude him from running a sweet shop, let alone the country.

It’s going to be hard to stomach this guy for more than a few days.

If ever there was a time for an election, this has to be it.
