EYES ON PRIZE: The Euro 2024 trophy in Frankfurt
IT’S only a few months until Euro 2024 takes place in Germany — and though Ireland didn’t qualify, the festival of football is always worth a visit.
With ten different German cities hosting the games, knowing where you’ll spend most of your money or how much to take with you is important.
And a new study by casino bonus guide NoDepositDaily. com has ranked which are the best cities to stay in — analysing factors such as the cost of beer in each stadium, the number of hotels within two miles of each city, and the average price of a hotel for one night.
Frankfurt took top spot, scoring highly for its accessibility to hospitality as it has the highest number of cafes at 175 and fastfood restaurants at 146.
Getting around the city won’t cost a fortune as the price of a taxi per 1km was just €2.19.
Its Deutsche Bank Park stadium also obtained an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5 on Google review ratings.
Capital Berlin places second. Home to the Olympiastadion, the price of beer is one of the third cheapest of all 10 stadiums at €4.40. In Berlin, 23 per cent of the restaurants offer cheap eating, which is the highest ratio out of all 10 cities on the list.
Gelsenkirchen is the thirdbest city, with the cheapest beers out of all the stadiums at €4.20, while the price of domestic beer outside of the stadium is €0.98 on average.
Cologne and Dortmund completed the top five, with Leipzig at the bottom due to high flight and taxi prices among other factors.
