Insta360’s X4-midable camera

INSTA360 has announced its innovative flagship action camera Insta360 X4, which includes 8K 360-degree video.

The pocket-size shooter is one of the most versatile cameras on the market as it allows users to shoot first, point later and includes the Invisible Selfie Stick effect.

This gives you the power to create incredible third-person clips that look like they were shot with a drone or by your personal camera crew.

The firm said the new camera is not just aimed at action sports enthusiasts — it has features that casual content creators, travellers and social media posters will love, while also delivering footage that professional videographers and photographers can use.

The 8K footage is the highest on an action cam and gives users much greater clarity and detail.

With 360-degree video, creators can choose any angle after filming (known as reframing). It’s like going back in time and pointing the camera after the fact.

Another great feature is Me Mode which automatically frames the subject in the shot, keeping the selfie stick invisible and giving you ready-to-share flat video clips with zero reframing needed.

Insta360 X4 is also capable of 72MP 360-degree still images with built-in AI de-noising. And you can use it as a traditional single lens action cam too.

The smart control system has features such as Voice and Gesture Control. The company said battery performance is 135 minutes of run time.

The new camera also includes removable lens guards for X4 that provide robust protection.
