TAYLOR Swift met actor Joe Alwyn in 2017, and the pair went public together by the end of the year.

However, Joe was noticeably less keen on the spotlight than some of Taylor’s previous boyfriends.

Joe told how they were “successfully very private”, and made few public appearances together. In lockdown, Taylor would reportedly wear the same outfits while out, to discourage

NONE of Taylor Swift’s exes it seems can escape her lyrics – even if it was the briefest of flings.

On The Tortured Poets Department album, out today, Fortnight may refer to her time last year with The 1975’s Matty Healy (35), which lasted less than a month.

The frontman, son of Loose Women’s Denise Welch and actor Tim Healy, will be hoping he is not the target of The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.

She sings of a “starry-eyed” Jehovah’s Witness-suited lover

“rusted a sparkling summer” by “ghosting” – not texting her after their short romance. “You hung me on your wall, stabbed me with your push pins / In public showed me off, then sank in stoned oblivion.”

Yet Taylor (34) also looks at herself and her fans on the new album, her 11th. In I Can Do It With A Broken Heart she details painting photographers from following them around London parks.

Joe co-wrote tracks on her 2020 album Folklore, which have reportedly netted him more then €2 million, and saw her credit him at the 2021 Grammy awards.

After they split in April last year, Taylor lamented that she had been “locking myself away in my house for a lot of years”, adding: “I’ll never get that time back.” on a smile for her tour performances and sings: “All the pieces of me shattered as the crowd was chanting more.”

And she seems to hit out at her most vocal supporters as “vipers dressed in empath’s clothing” on But Daddy I Love Him and their apparent concern for her wellbeing while dating a notorious “wild boy”. Her fans, Swifties, have suggested this is a reference to an online storm that surrounded her relationship with Matty.

Taylor also makes fun of herself in the lyrics to I Can Fix Him (No, Really, I Can) by ultimately accepting that she cannot. Swifties had assumed Tortured Poets would predominantly criticise actor Joe Alwyn, who Taylor dated and spent six years living with in London until 2023.
