ANGRY Alec Baldwin punched a protester’s phone after she confronted him over the deadly shooting of filmmaker Halyna Hutchins.
An anti-Israel activist approached the 30 Rock actor in a New York City coffee shop and tried to get him to tell the camera
“Free Palestine.”
She also questioned Baldwin about the tragic shooting on the set of the Western movie Rust in 2021, in which cinematographer Halyna was shot dead after the Hollywood star was handed a gun loaded with real bullets instead of blanks.
“Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time,” the protester is heard saying in a video posted on X by an account Crackhead Barney & Friends.
The protester also begged the 66-yearold actor to say “F**k Israel, f**k Zionism,” and said: “Free Palestine, Alec, just one time and I’ll leave you alone. I’ll leave you alone, I swear, just say free Palestine one time.”
Alec is seen asking a coffee shop employee to call the police. At one point he tells the protester, “Can you do me one quick favour?” and punches the phone she was filming with.
Trial
“You know he’s a criminal. You know he’s a f **** g criminal,” the protester said in reference to the Rust shooting. On the film set, a prop gun containing live rounds went off while Baldwin was holding it, fatally shooting the cinematographer.
The actor faces a criminal trial on July 10 after a grand jury indicted him for involuntary manslaughter back in January for his alleged involvement in Halyna’s death.
Recently, the armourer on set, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who handed the gun to Alec, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for her role in the death.
During her trial, Gutierrez Reed’s lawyers placed the blame partially on Baldwin, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
