BOSS TO PLAY 3-HOUR IRISH SETS

BRUCE Springstee­n and the E Street Band will play for a whopping three solid hours to hundreds of thousands of fans each night when he jets to Ireland.

The Boss will play sell-out concerts at Belfast (May 9), Kilkenny (May 12), Cork (May 16) and Dublin (May 19) as the second stop on his European tour.

The 74-year-old played three sell-out concerts at Dublin’s RDS last May – and was so enthused by the response of his Irish and European fans, he decided on a return.

But fans are being warned to arrive at Croke Park on time at 7pm as the US rocker will have no support act.

Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions revealed at a press conference in Croke Park last week that Springstee­n will have played to one million Irish fans by the end of his summer run in Ireland.

But he said The Boss will have a strict curfew and will have to be off stage by 10.30pm, although Mr Aiken added he won’t be the one to tell the legendary singer to call it off if he strays over the line.

Shane Mates, head of operations with Aiken Promotions, added: “Bruce’s curfew is definitely 10.30pm and he will be sticking to that.

“That’s why we start the concert so early with Bruce on stage at 7pm so there are no overruns and it never goes past 10.30pm.”
