Music legend joins players to celebrate in free-style
RAPPER Stormzy joined the celebrations as his team AFC Croydon Athletic won promotion into the eighth tier of English football.
Stormzy is part of a three-man consortium who bought the Rams last summer, alongside former Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
He grew up in the South Norwood district of Croydon before becoming a superstar rapper.
And the team secured promotion to the eighth tier of English football with a 2-1 victory, sparking wild celebrations from the players on the pitch following the game.
Stormzy, wearing a Croydon Athletic scarf, was lifted onto the shoulders of the players as they celebrated.
He then joined them in the dressing room as they continued the party with dancing and singing, as the rapper was seen drinking bottles of beer alongside the players.
Maya Jama also proudly supported her boyfriend at the historic play-off tie on Tuesday.
Heading to the Redding Way to watch the action unfold, the Love Island host (29) was spotted in the stands.
She cut a stylish figure in an oversized black blazer and cargo trousers as she grabbed a beer before heading into the match.

Stormzy owns the club alongside Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha and former Palace head of player care Danny Young.
They put manager Jermain McGlashan in charge in October with the team in 17th position, but under his coaching moved up to fifth by May to make the playoffs.
Zaha (30) who was born in the
Ivory Coast, is heavily involved in community projects and also runs the WZ Academy through his own charitable foundation.
Zaha tweeted: “May the journey begin,” back in June 2023 when their takeover was made public, after a year of discussions behind the scenes.
Stormzy and Zaha have both described Athletic as their “childhood hometown football club”.
Stormzy has a long-standing friendship with Zaha.
The world famous rapper – whose real name is Michael Owuo Jr – has had three number one albums released, and has won three Brit awards. He is a also longstanding Manchester United fan.
