TWO NEW MEMBERS JOIN GROUP

THE Script has announced two new band members following “the toughest year of their lives” after the death of guitarist Mark Sheehan last year.

Mark, who co-founded the band with frontman Danny O’Donoghue, passed away in April 2023 at the age of 46 following a brief illness.

Frontman Danny O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power revealed they would now be transition­ing to a four-piece band with the introducti­on of two new members.

The statement, which was shared on social media, reads: “It’s been over a year since we lost our brother Mark, and it has been the toughest year of our lives.

“However, your love and support have carried us through, giving us the strength, inspiratio­n and hope to move forward.

“The Script, as a three-piece, will never be the same, so transition­ing to a four-piece feels like the right way to go. It is a sign of respect to leave the past as it was and not attempt to replicate it, as we simply never will.

“Ben Sargeant has been with us on bass from the start, and we are excited to welcome Ben Weaver on stage with us on guitar.

“#TheScriptF­amily means everything to us. Without you, there is no Script, so we wanted to share our plans with you first before we

The Dizzy star told Hits Radio: “I will wear a hat and a mask on the Tube – I get really paranoid about being in an enclosed space and someone recognisin­g me when I’m doing something weird like eating a sandwich or drinking a coffee and I look stupid.

“It’s a bit of an anxiety but if I’m wearing a hat and a mask no-one will recognise me, no-one will look at me.”

Among the pals are Chloe Cherry, Richie Shazam, Chloe Sevigny, Alex Consani and Rachel Sennott. But topping the lot is actress Julia Fox, who was also out to support Charli at a launch party on Thursday night.

Charli’s sixth studio album Brat follows June 7.
