Upgrades to Old Street area in Cobh
An anti-dereliction project is planned near St Colman’s Cathedral in Cobh.
An upgrade of the Old Street area will take place in conjunction with the Cobh Tidy Towns committee. It will involve pedestrianisation of the street, next to the main entrance to the cathedral. Bollards will be erected to restrict traffic, but local residents will be given keys if they required access by car.
The road will be resurfaced, steps up to the cathedral upgraded, and boundary walls painted.
