Foróige is recruiting adult volunteers to give an hour of their time, every week, for a new TechSpace Programme in Fermoy.

The programme helps young people to harness an interest in all things tech and become digital creators through free access to hardware, software, trained educators and creative mentors.

Emma Browne, club development worker with Foróige, said: “TechSpace is not about how much you already know about using technology, rather it is about inspiring young people to tap into their creativity and interests and become inventors with the technology that is around them.

“We are looking for volunteers to facilitate activities with the members and support them to do the projects they want to do.”

She said the opportunity would be of particular interest to individuals from science, computer and technology backgrounds, however, all applications are welcome. Volunteers will receive induction training.
