Charity urges people to adopt a donkey
A charity which looks after s o m e o f o u r fo u r - l e g g e d friends is urging people this Christmas to ‘Adopt a Donkey’.
The Liscarroll-based Donkey Sanctuary in north Cork is hopeful of support from animal lovers.
For just €25 for one year, they can adopt a donkey for themselves or as a gift for a friend, in the knowledge the annual fee guarantees a life of loving care for donkeys at the sanctuary.
By choosing one of the wonderful donkeys currently on the adoption list, people will be help animal sanctuary in its work. Challenges involve rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming countless donkeys throughout the country.
Those signing up also receive an adoption pack containing an adoption certificate, a pencil sketch print, the story of the chosen donkey and a twice-yearly report with details of the animal’s progress.
Adoptive families are encouraged to visit the animals at Knockardbane Farm as often as they. Public admission is free.
