It has been very warm lately, for the time of year, and many fin­ish­ing stock in­doors on feed­ing are sweat­ing. Con­sider open­ing doors, where pos­si­ble, to aid ven­ti­la­tion.

Try not to over-stock pens dur­ing this pe­riod.

Some have clipped backs and tails to re­lease some heat from stock.

This will also help if you are dos­ing with a pour-on. Remember when you are treat­ing cat­tle for lice, you must do all the stock in the shed if it is to be ef­fec­tive.
