Speaking to the Irish Examiner, Eileen Murphy expressed her delight to bring the cup back to Freemount.
“It was a great honor for Freemount Macra to bring home the club of the year title. Winning this award would not have been possible without our outstanding bunch of club members. Freemount Macra previously won the title in 2011 and 2014 and were runnersup in 2012 and 2017. We are very grateful and delighted to have the cup back in Freemount.” Freemount Macra was founded in 1962 and celebrated their Golden Jubilee in 2012.
