IT was released in cinemas last Friday in the US, so hopefully, it won’t be too long before Book Club, starring four stellar older leading ladies, hits our big screens. Featuring best buddies Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), right, Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen), whose lives are turned upside down when their book club tackles the pages of the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey. Diane is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage and Vivian enjoys her men with no strings attached, whereas Sharon is still working through a decades-old divorce and Carol’s marriage is in a slump after 35 years. Billed as a comedy, it also has among the cast Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Craig T Nelson, Richard Dreyfuss and Alicia Silverstone. From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter.
