IT was re­leased in cin­e­mas last Fri­day in the US, so hope­fully, it won’t be too long be­fore Book Club, star­ring four stel­lar older lead­ing ladies, hits our big screens. Fea­tur­ing best bud­dies Diane (Diane Keaton), Vi­vian (Jane Fonda), right, Sharon (Candice Ber­gen) and Carol (Mary Steen­bur­gen), whose lives are turned up­side down when their book club tack­les the pages of the in­fa­mous Fifty Shades of Grey. Diane is re­cently wid­owed af­ter 40 years of mar­riage and Vi­vian en­joys her men with no strings at­tached, whereas Sharon is still work­ing through a decades-old di­vorce and Carol’s mar­riage is in a slump af­ter 35 years. Billed as a com­edy, it also has among the cast Andy Garcia, Don John­son, Craig T Nel­son, Richard Drey­fuss and Ali­cia Sil­ver­stone. From dis­cov­er­ing new ro­mance to rekin­dling old flames, they in­spire each other to make their next chap­ter the best chap­ter.
