SHIATSU prac­ti­tioner Joanne Faulkner has just launched a six-week on­line course de­signed to help peo­ple to ease the pain of chronic fa­tigue and fi­bromyal­gia through diet. Draw­ing on the prin­ci­ples of Chi­nese medicine, she says foods such as rocket, broc­coli, cab­bage, wa­ter­cress, dan­de­lion greens and chicory can help to re­duce pain as they are said to im­prove liver func­tion, which is vi­tal to the flow of chi, or en­ergy.
