Saving memories

THE Remarkable Lives memory-sharing app, which allows people to make a record of their past, is now available to download free to iPhone from the App Store. Importantly, it doesn’t require an older person, who might not be tech savvy or confident using apps, to operate it. In that context a child or grandchild can create the profile and build a timeline with photos and stories. It’s no coincidence that the app was launched in September, World Alzheimer’s Month: “Because Remarkable Lives is based partly on our shared experience of having relatives living with dementia, we wanted to do something positive and practical to help save our own family memories, before it’s too late,” says Lives Founder, Owen McNeir.
