SEASONALITY is a buzzword in food but very often it’s about lip service, says founder of Grow it Yourself (GIY) Michael Kelly. In an attempt to change that, Grow HQ has launched ‘Homegrown’, a series that invites chefs to forage and harvest and then use the produce to prepare a seasonal feast for 55 people. Next month, on November 13, Wade Murphy from the awardwinning 1826 Adare in Limerick will take over at Grow HQ. On December 5, Ellie Kisyombe, founder of Our Table, will host a multicultural homegrown night. For tickets (€65) and details, see www.giy.ie.
