Points made, though neither Gunners nor Pool happy to share
Liverpool are not going to catch Manchester City and end their titlewinning drought this season. That was one of the possible conclusions to draw from this result as Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to win a fixture won so easily by Pep Guardiola’s defending champions in the opening match of the season. City have set the benchmark so high that winning away at top six rivals is the standard Premier League winners must aspire to. Klopp said a draw represented a decent return for his side, and it probably did, but do they need to be winning at teams such as Arsenal to really challenge City at the top and win the League for the first time in nearly 30 years?
