Piarsaigh win comes at a cost

AIB Munster Club SHC semi-final Na Piarsaigh’s start set the tone for the remainder of the game. “We knew Clonoulty would come charging into us here and have big support so if we didn’t tune into it from the start we would be in trouble,” said Na Piarsaigh manager Paul Beary.

The fitness and hunger of this Na Piarsaigh outfit. So soon after completing backto-back Limerick titles for the first time, Na Piarsaigh showed no let-up as they continued their remarkable Munster record. Clonoulty-rossmore had been excellent in seeing off Nenagh Éire Óg to claim a famous Tipperary title last month but this challenge was a step too far. Without injured Michael Ryan, Clonoulty-rossmore’s challenge around the middle third was greater. Na Piarsaigh now have three injury concerns ahead of their provincial final showdown in 13 days’ time.
