Keegan leaves Cork hurling role

Irish Examiner - Sport - - GAA -

Performance coach Gary Keegan will not be involved with the Cork senior hurling team next year.

The former director of the Irish Institute of Sport and high-performance director with the Irish Amateur Boxing Association, Keegan was brought on board with Cork by then-manager Kieran Kingston in 2016.

Since then the Cork hurlers have won consecutive Munster titles and reached two All-ireland semi-finals.

Keegan also works with the Dublin footballers, who won a fourth All-ireland senior title in a row this season, and earlier this year he delivered a wideranging report to the GAA recommending changes to policy and practices on games development.
