Salah sees Pool face Napoli in good spirits
Klopp’s deepening pool of talent
Liverpool have the strength in depth to deliver silverware to Anfield this season.
Jurgen Klopp made five changes to the side that had been forced to knuckle down and fight their way to victory at Burnley last week and it was impossible to see the join. Of course it helps when two of those players coming back into the line-up are Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, but the strength and resilience the Reds showed to play their way through a testing opening period before moving through the gears in the second half suggested this was a group of players collectively hitting their stride.
Klopp admitted he had no idea what his team will be against Napoli tomorrow after two games in quick succession but he can select from a position of strength with options available to him in all the key areas of the pitch. Manchester City’s squad may still look the more complete, but Klopp is entitled to believe his group of players is capable of pushing Pep Guardiola’s men all the way.
