Dish: Crab Salad with Gle­nilen Yo­ghurt & Lemon Dress­ing

Sport­ing the same sleek lines as many of the mod­ern yachts moored at the quay­side just across the road, ev­ery­thing about Fishy Fishy is im­bued with the spirit of the sea and there are few finer places to be on a fresh sum­mer morn than sit­ting down on the outside ter­race and tuck­ing into one of Shana­han’s crab sal­ads, washed down with a nice chilled glass of crisp Chablis. Cos let­tuce, chopped tar­ragon and oven-dried toma­toes are dressed, Ceasar salad- style, with a sim­ple dress­ing of Gle­nilen Yo­ghurt and Lemon juice, sea­soned with salt and black pep­per. Fresh crab meat and a crab claw are laid on top, fol­lowed by a few more leaves of tar­ragon.

“The most im­por­tant part of the dish is the crab,” says Shana­han, “it has to be fresh. I get mine from lo­cal fish­er­man Christy Hur­ley.”
