Thinking Outside The Box

— Schrodinger in Ireland

RTÉ One, 7.30pm

A documentary on Prof Erwin Schrödinger, the German physicist who spent time in Ireland after fleeing the Nazis. He became a major figure in the burgeoning scientific community here, and among the people his lectures later influenced were James Watson and Francis Crick who famously unlocked the structure of DNA.

Among the UEFA Nations League games tonight is the clash of Wales v Denmark (Sky Sports, ko 7.45pm), a match in the Republic of Ireland’s group that probably doesn’t have the significance we hoped it would as Martin O’Neill’s men languish on the bottom of the table.
