Revenue officers yesterday seized 24kg of herbal cannabis, with an estimated street value of €480,000, at Dublin port. The illegal drugs, discovered as a result of routine profiling, were detected with the assistance of Revenue detector dog Meg, in a consignment that was said to contain “goods”, when it arrived in Dublin port from Spain. A Revenue spokesperson said investigations are ongoing. Revenue said that if businesses or members of the public have any information about drug smuggling, they can contact Revenue’s confidential phone number 1800 295 295.
