Digital skills shortage ‘threatens growth’

Irish Examiner - - Business -

A growing digital skills crisis is likely to have a major impact on growth over the coming years, a report by a digital education firm has said.

The Code Institute said that over the next two years, an expected 12,000 jobs are to go unfilled in the Irish information and technology sector, “which will have a direct knock-on impact on productivity and growth”. Significant Government investment in the digitisation of education is required, the report said.
