Smurfit wins Mexico award
SMURFIT Kappa has received the Signify ‘Passion for Results’ award for outstanding customer support and service delivery in Mexico.
Supply chain optimisation and a reduction in costs, coupled with good customer service, were among the benefits that Smurfit Kappa provided for Signify, the paper packaging giant said yesterday.
Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting) provides energyefficient lighting products, systems and services for the commercial and consumer markets and has a long-term relationship with Smurfit Kappa.
“We are very pleased to receive this award from our valued business partner Signify. It’s very gratifying to get recognition of our ongoing dedication to sharing knowledge and collaboratively designing packaging solutions that exceed requirements,” said Smurfit Kappa North America CEO Greg Hall.
“It’s also an honour that Signify has recognised the expertise and capabilities of the Smurfit Kappa team which always strives to surpass expectations throughout all levels of customer interaction.”
The award winners were chosen by a global panel of Signify account managers and procurement directors.
Smurfit Kappa’s Tijuana Plant in Mexico provides sustainable packaging for a wide range of Signify’s lighting products including ballasts, LED lights and LED lamps.
“This award acknowledges Smurfit Kappa for going above and beyond in quick delivery response times to support high schedule fluctuations,” Bartosz Thomas, of Signify, said.
