Located just 10km from Limerick city, the hotel offers a range of flexible accommodation options with 20 guest bedrooms in the original period house complemented by 22 twobedroom garden suites.
A key feature is the landscaped gardens overlooking the River Shannon creating a tranquil setting and an ideal location for guests. The hotel also includes a tennis court and playground area.
The Castle Oaks House Hotel has established itself as a popular wedding venue, known throughout the Midwest region and is expected to host about 70 weddings in 2018. The elegant Stradbally Suite, with its unique stained glass windows, parquet dance floor and picturesque garden views can host up to 280 guests. The first known owners of Castle Oaks House were the Rich family. Lieutenant John S Rich and his family took up residence there in 1815. In June 1945, the property passed into the hands of the Presentation Sisters. Since opening for business as a hotel, the main building has been restored, extended and retains many of its original Georgian features.
Castleconnell is 40km from Shannon airport.
John Hughes said: “This hotel is expected to generate keen interest from hoteliers, investors and hotel operators.”
