New chief for Ge­nomics Medicine

MED­I­CAL re­search com­pany Ge­nomics Medicine Ire­land (GMI) has hired Dr Anne Jones as CEO.

Dr Jones brings 25 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the life science, chem­i­cal anal­y­sis and di­ag­nos­tics are­nas in Ire­land, the UK and the US.

The Tip­per­ary na­tive joins GMI from US-based Dana­her Cor­po­ra­tion, where she was VP and gen­eral man­ager for Pall Cor­po­ra­tions Lab, food and bev­er­age busi­ness. In this role, she had profit and loss ac­count­abil­ity lead­ing a team of up to 800 peo­ple for three busi­ness units span­ning drug dis­cov­ery, R&D and the food and bev­er­age mar­ket. Be­fore that, she was VP of strat­egy and busi­ness de­vel­op­ment at Agi­lent Tech­nolo­gies.

“We are de­lighted to have at­tracted a can­di­date of Anne’s con­sid­er­able tal­ent and track record to GMI,” said co-founder and act­ing CEO Dan Crow­ley.
