Ding in Span­ish part­ner­ship

MARK Ro­den’s Ding is to part­ner with Lo­gista, a dis­trib­u­tor of prod­ucts and ser­vices to re­tail­ers in South­ern Europe.

Ding will pro­vide in­ter­na­tional top-up ser­vices in over 10,000 shops ser­viced by Lo­gista in ci­ties across Spain.

The deal will en­able a wide range of di­as­pora liv­ing in Spain to send in­ter­na­tional mo­bile top-up to the phones of fam­ily and friends back home in coun­tries in­clud­ing Bo­livia, Senegal, Mali, Gam­bia, Pak­istan, Nige­ria, Ro­ma­nia,

Mo­rocco, Colom­bia, the Do­mini­can Repub­lic and Ghana.

De­clan Burke, head of busi­ness de­vel­op­ment Europe and Africa at Ding, said it fur­ther strength­ens Ding’s of­fer­ing of in­ter­na­tional mo­bile top-up in Europe.

“Our busi­ness is in a ma­jor phase of growth and part­ner­ing with com­pa­nies such as Lo­gista – with such a well-es­tab­lished net­work – is help­ing us to re­ally push our busi­ness for­ward and bet­ter serve our users,” he added.

Launched in 2006, Ding has deals with 500 dif­fer­ent mo­bile phone op­er­a­tors in over 140 coun­tries around the world.

Mean­while, Lo­gista cur­rently man­ages over 38 mil­lion top-ups ev­ery year for the tele­phony and pub­lic trans­porta­tion in­dus­tries, among oth­ers.
